Thanks to you, we’ve had an amazing time making the most beautiful and delicious madeleines in the UK. It has been a truly awesome adventure meeting the most incredible people.
The decision was hard but due to personal reasons, Hali and I have decided to close the business down.
Hali is now focusing on creating her dream business - still in baking of course - which, I can already tell you, will be exceptional in terms of tastes, looks and deliciousness. I can’t wait for her to be ready to share it with the world. On my side, we relocated outside of the UK and I will enjoy some time off to clarify my next project (as usual, I have a lot of ideas brewing).
We won’t thank you enough for all your kind words, support and loyalty. They have been the best motivator along the journey. And the meant the world to us.

Madeleine & Co are doing more than reviving a traditional cake: We are bringing joy and blissful moments through every mouthful. Guided by our love of great craftmanship, we bake, garnish, glaze, decorate and pack your madeleines by hand to ensure you can taste the passion and perfection in every single bite. Our batter and fillings are made in small batches using only natural ingredients and they are free from any artificial preservatives, flavourings or colourings.

All of our ingredients have been sourced with care and pride. We believe that the best ingredients make the best cakes. Traditional French T45 flour supplied by Shipton Mill, British sugar from Tate and Lyle and Silverspoon, free-range British eggs, vanilla from Madagascar: Nothing is too good for your madeleines.
French native Marie Jacob, whose middle name is actually Magdeleine, has always been passionate about madeleines. After a 2nd child, she decided to set up a business through which she could share lovely childhood memories and her passion for exquisite/fine baking. She then met Halimatou Diallo a passionate and skillful French patisserie chef whose eye for details has no match. Hali has extensive training in classic patisserie but also in their vegan version.
Together, they are bringing the madeleines to another level and want to share their love for fine baking with you.
